Cough and Congestion Tea aids to thin the mucous and calm the cough. This earthy tasting tea is made with mullein, marshmallow, and elecampane as the base to help thin the mucous and get it out of your lungs. Some apple and cinnamon gives it a warm and cozy feel.

 

Herbal teas are made for healing the body. They are one of the quickest ways to get that health in your body quick. The taste of herbal teas are typically different from teas made strictly for flavor as they can be earthy or woody tasting. Feel free to add your own organic flavored teabags in with the medicinal teas to enhance the taste! Add in a lemon slice, orange slice, peach teabag, peppermint teabag, or whatever flavors you'd like to try. And if hot tea isn't your thing, make an iced tea out of it!

 

Mullein 🌱- What can we say about mullein that isn't good? It's known for aiding respiratory health. It helps relieve coughs, asthma, and bronchitis. It also behaves as an expectorant and anti-inflammatory agent with antibacterial and antiviral properties for fighting infections and promoting overall wellness.

 

Elecampane 🌿 - Supports respiratory health by acting as an expectorant to help clear mucus and soothe coughs. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, and the high inulin content can promote digestive health.

 

Marshmallow Root - One of our go-to's and family favorites for its health all the way from beginning to end. Marshmallow Root relieves coughs and sore throats, and aids in digestion by protecting the mucous membranes. (Fun fact! 😎Marshmallows originated in ancient Egypt, where the sap of the marsh-mallow plant (Althaea officinalis) was used to create a honey candy. This early version was not just a sweet treat, it was also used for medicinal purposes, such as soothing sore throats.)

 

Elderberry - The star ⭐ of the show recently. Elderberry has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties which supports the immune system, reduces the duration of colds and flu, and is rich in vitamin C and dietary fiber, contributing to overall wellness.

 

Thyme - Thyme is a respiratory-help 🤌 wonder! It offers several health benefits, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It improves respiratory health and supports digestion.

Instructions: Use one tablespoon of tea per cup. Steep for 15 minutes using hot (not boiling) water. Sweeten with raw honey for best results.
