Our Herbs & Practices

We pride ourselves on growing many of our herbs, plants, produce, and "medicines" right here on the Homestead.  We do this to ensure we know they are grown as naturally and clean as possible.  Our herbs and plants are free of pesticides, GMO-free, and the seeds are heirloom as much as possible.  Our bees keep them pollinated and we utilize the tedious task of pulling the incessant goat heads and sand burs by hand. We do our best to grow as much of our own "medicine" as we can right here.  In God's grand design, He gave these plants medicinal properties and the knowledge to utilize them that way.  As a culture, we've solely turned to western medicine for most of these benefits, but our goal is to revive the knowledge and natural means of finding our healing through these herbs and plants again.

We have hyssop, oregano, valerian, bee balm, thyme, peppermint, mugwort, feverfew, goldenrod, tarragon, evening primrose, bergamot, rosemary, marshmallow, arnica, lovage, chamomile, echinacea, yarrow, calendula, plantain, fennel, sage, chicory, lemon balm, stevia, meadowsweet, Shepherd's purse, comfrey, hibiscus, lavender, parsley, basil, and brown mustard.  Unfortunately some of these were taken out with a huge hail storm this summer, but many of them have bounced back and are getting back to growing up!

Herbs for

Pollinators

Our Pollinators Help Our Herbs and Plants Grow!

Our sweet little girls work so hard to help pollinate each of our herbs, our plants, and our produce for us.  They are hard-working little things!  They are very friendly and might even land on your while you're doing your outdoor chores.  But now and again, we love to sit and watch them do their work, which benefits us in the long run with the delicious honey they provide.

Even the Dishes are Extra "Clean"

When we say we attempt to make everything as clean, natural, and organic as possible, we mean it.  We make our own clean dish soap, too!  When we have to wash dishes or containers that come in contact with your products, we use clean products, sans toxins and chemicals.  Just one more way we are able to give you the best natural products we can.

Organic

The term "organic" is specific to a very expensive certification, therefore we cannot technically make this claim.  However all of our products are produced with the same diligent processes as the traditional "organic" label.

Healthy

Our products are healthy, meaning they promote good health and do not have preservatives, synthetic fragrances, or health degrading ingredients.  We avoid plastics as much as possible.  These support your physical being and help keep you free from the constant assault on your body. These products are intended to be used in conjunction with your personal health, such as your healthy diet or lifestyle.

Home-Grown

We pride ourselves on growing many of our herbs, plants, produce, and "medicines" right here on the Homestead.  We do this to ensure we know they are grown as naturally and clean as possible.

Medicinal Herbs

Natural

Our herbs and plants are free of pesticides, GMO-free, and the seeds are heirloom as much as possible.  Our bees keep them pollinated and we utilize the tedious task of pulling the incessant goat heads and sand burs by hand.

God-Given

We recognize every plant, herb, tree, bush, and produce as God-given.  Each one has health benefits of its own, many of them medicinal, proving once again the amazing thought and care God had in designing our planet and giving us everything we need.

Medicinal

We do our best to grow as much of our own "medicine" as we can right here.  In God's grand design, He gave these plants medicinal properties and the knowledge to utilize them that way.  As a culture, we've solely turned to western medicine for most of these benefits, but our goal is to revive the knowledge and natural means of finding our healing through these herbs and plants again.
